The Forgotten Man, by Amity Shlaes (2007)

Amity Shlae’s history of the Great Depression concludes that FDR’s proposals and policies to fix the economic depression actually made the depression worse and prolonged its duration.  This is a well-researched and well-written history.   This scholarly book is a must read for historians, politicians, and all citizens in order to understand that the socialistic government controls that FDR implemented and sought to implement actually made the economy worse.  Neither socialism and socialist policies hurt both freedom and prosperity.
