The Grizzly Bear Thims’ Christmas, by C. Paul Smith

$7.99

A poor family of grizzly bears in the Appalachian Mountains decides they would rather face Christmas without any money than to avoid it by hibernating this year.  Although they have little money, they each try to find something to give one another, and then they watch to see how their siblings enjoyed the gifts.   A cute story about the real life “Smith” family (“Thims” is Smith backwards–kind of).  The name of each of the ten cubs is his/her name spelled backwards.  (E.g., Stephen is “Nephets” and Morgan is “Nagrom.”)   This is a nice story that gives one of the true meanings of Christmas.    A fun book for the whole family at Christmas.  Nice illustrations.     The book is 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 in size.  $7.99 for paperback; $11.99 for hardback.
