Clarence Thomas and the Lost Constitution, by Myron Magnet

$18.99

Clarence Thomas and the Lost Constitution, by Myron Magnet is a nice, concise book about Justice Clarence Thomas, who has now served on the U. S. Supreme Court for over thirty years.  Justice Thomas is a black conservative, and because of this he has constantly drawn criticism from the political left, who accuse him of betraying black America.  Thomas boldly disputes this, and contends that his originalist approach to the Constitution is correct and is the key to liberty in America and prosperity for all people, including blacks.  The author, Myron Magnet, describes how Thomas rose from poverty in the segregated south to get a law degree at Yale Law School, and how Thomas came to change his political views from those of black victimhood to a fierce defense of conservatism.  Magnet describes how Thomas came to realize that the policies of Affirmative Action were actually hurting black America.   Justice Thomas is an articulate and courageous wise man of great language skill.   This is a very good book.   Hardback, $19.99.
